The United Nations released their prediction this week that tourism is anticipated to drop 2% this year (minimum) with several insiders predicting that quantity to go as higher as five%. This all comes from the Globe Tourism Organization (is there anything these sprites over at the UN don’t do?), which is also predicting that China’s meager figure of 45 million travelers in 2008 is most likely to double by 2012, somewhat offsetting the declines by these nations that will be spending the subsequent three years paying off mortgage debts and bank bailouts. You know that saying: that the world’s best things come in small packages? It shouldn’t be a surprise then that Prince Edward Island, Canada’s smallest province, is packed to the brim with staggering beauty. Granted, coming from Vancouver, PEI is almost as far away from home I can get.
